About
to work in meaningful and collaborative ways to contribute to the vibrancy and prosperity of Regional, Rural and Remote Australia
What and Who is Rural Business Collective??
RBC exists to support Rural and Regional Economic development and create impact in rural and regional communities across the country. RBC was founded by Fleur Anderson and we work alongside a group of other practitioners in this space around the country who share the same vision we hold so close.
How do we do this? By collaborating with communities and organisations that are wanting to create a shift in their towns and economies, and contributing to projects that have the chance to grow thriving businesses, towns and families. Outside of our consulting projects we also connect with our community in a number of ways on a regular basis:
We publish a weekly podcast, Beating Around The Bush where Co-hosts Fleur Anderson and Wade Dabinett discuss the top stories for the week that have caught their eye in Agriculture, Politics and Community. Keeping news important to rural Australia in the spotlight and continuing the conversation with our engaged audience right around the country.
Peer to peer networking group resources and support. We have seen first hand the power Peer to Peer mentoring can provide so we created RBC Roundtables where a small group of business owners can connect and support each other and hold each other accountable beyond the usual constraints of geographic isolation.
Live events. Whether that be workshops, toolkit tours, live podcast recording or bringing together our RBC Roundtable network we host live events to bring the online community together and get some facetime.
Podcast Launch support. We have discovered through our podcasting journey that there is something special about the voice as a means to communicate over the written word. We believe rural storytelling is more important than ever and its a powerful way to communicate your business, your idea, your story. So we have opened up our podcasting network of gurus and our tips and tools we use to plan and launch a podcast to others that are interested. We run a launch program for budding podcasters and also a podcasting service for those that don’t have enough time in the day to fit it all in.
We love championing the bush and the brilliant personalities, businesses and communities within it. We love to hear about people who are find new opportunities and possibilities from what we think are Australia’s best postcodes. So, make sure you pop your email in the mailing list so you can be part of the Cheersquad and then drop Fleur a line to let her know what cool stuff you are doing that she can sing from the rooftops for you.
